Affiliate Postbacks

Once Enabled, Affiliates can set their own postbacks Do you have Affiliates who wish to receive data from NATS when a member joins? Admins can grant special privileges that will allow affiliates to set up and manage their own custom postbacks. With this enabled, NATS will post transaction data to a URL (specified by the affiliate) each time a member transaction is reported to NATS.

The Affiliate Postback feature is disabled by default for all affiliates and for all transaction types. You can enable this globally for all Affiliates or for each Affiliate individually.

To enable Affiliate Postbacks for all Affiliates, go to the Configuration Admin and switch to the Affiliates page. Here you will find a section labeled "Postbacks" with a list of postback types that you want enabled globally. Simply check off the appropriate type and click save.

To enable or disable Affiliate Postbacks for 1 Affiliate, go to the Affiliates Admin, find the appropriate Affiliate and click the "Edit Affiliate Admin Settings" action icon. On this page you can select "Allowed", "Disallow" or "Use Global Settings" for any of the postback types listed.

Once an Affiliate has been enabled to use this feature, either globally or individually, they will find a new "Postback Settings" section within their "My Account" area. Here the Affiliate can define specific Postback URLs for any of the member transaction types that they are authorized to use.

In addition to making the postbacks available, you can allow globally or per Affiliate, the ability to include additional variables on the postback based upon given criteria. These settings are the "AFFILIATE_POST_EXTRA_VARS_" setting found in the configuration admin and the "Extra Variable Postback Settings" found in the Affiliate Admin Settings.

For further details in regards to setting up this feature or how Affiliates would use it, please refer to our online documentation.

Affiliate Override

NATS allows Admins to override as any Affiliate, displaying their Affiliate Area exactly the way that Affiliate would see it. This is very helpful when providing an Affiliate information about their account, when reviewing the stats for an Affiliate, or when guiding Affiliates to more effectively use NATS.

Within the Affiliates Admin, you can override using three Action Icon links found next to any Affiliate. Each Action Icon link will send you to a different section of the Affiliate Area for quick access to that page. These actions are:

  • Override as Affiliate will take the Admin to the main page of the Affiliate area, known as the Dashboard, where they can view basic details in regards to the Affiliate.
  • Edit Affiliate Details will direct the Admin to the My Account page, where they can view and adjust details of the Affiliate account.
  • Affiliate Stats will direct the Admin to the Affiliates Stats page where the Admin can view different breakdowns of an Affiliate's statistics.

Once overridden as an Affiliate, Admins at any point can remove the override by clicking the "Override Off" button next to the Affiliate's name in the upper-right-hand corner of the page. For further information in regards to the Affiliate override feature, visit our online documentation.

Upsells

Are you looking for new ways to cross promote your sites? Using upsells allow members to sign up to additional sites without providing payment information again. This adds the opportunity for members to easily sign up for more sites within NATS.

Members can verify with their email to instantly sign up to additional Upsells

When creating Upsells for your own site, much like cross sales, you would create the incoming upsell first. When creating the incoming upsale you would set details including the site and program that the upsell will be for as well as basic amounts and biller details. Once created, you would then create a new outgoing upsell where you would provide details to be displayed on an external page, biller information, and set display rules to govern when the upsell will show up.

After the outgoing upsale is created, you can link your members to a special page that will display the available upsells that the member can choose. This special page, called UpsellPlus, is linked to by including the current members siteid and username. Once on this page, the member will be presented with the upsell options to create a new membership.

Please Note: Upsells are only available for supported billers. For more details in regards to setting up upsells within NATS, please visit our on-line documentation.

Backup Service

Reduce the risk of losing your NATS data permanently with Too Much Media's remote backup service. Our service will back up your NATS files, NATS database, and any custom Smarty functions and templates, all to an off-site server. If a situation arises where a backup needs to be restored, we will reinstall NATS and/or re-import any data you may have lost free of charge.

We can help prevent data loss

We at Too Much Media recommend setting up a backup service through either us or your hosting company to reduce the risk of data loss. Our Standard Remote Backup service costs a flat fee of $75 per month, and includes three (3) backups to our server per week. If that's not enough for you, we also offer a Daily Remote Backup service, which provides you with daily backups of all your NATS files, database, and templates for $150 per month. Using this feature provides redundancy for your data, which is crucial for recovering it in cases of emergency.

Please put in a support ticket if you are interested in adding this backup service to your NATS installation.
